Location
Clifton Beach is located just off the Captain Cook Highway 20 minutes North of Cairns, between Kewarra Beach and Palm Cove. Our location makes Clifton Sands an ideal central base to explore the entire Cairns Area and all of the natural beauty and attractions it has to offer.
The beach at Clifton is a part of the bay that makes up Kewarra Beach, Clifton Beach and Palm Cove, making it possible to walk to all 3 villages without leaving the beach. Stinger nets are in the water at all 3 villages in stinger season, and the protection offered by the Great Barrier Reef makes swimming at Clifton Beach fun and safe for the whole family year round.
Clifton Beach is on the 110 and 111 bus routes that link Cairns with the Northern Beaches. The bus stop is a 1 minute walk away from Clifton Sands.
If you have your own car, there is ample parking available at Clifton Sands. A car will provide you with the freedom to explore the area at your leisure. Why not take a drive to Kuranda, Port Douglas, Mossman, Cape Tribulation or the Daintree?
There are also plenty of organized tour options available to take advantage of these fabulous locations with the added advantage of informative and educational briefings, and the peace of mind to be able to enjoy all the food and drink that you like without having to drive home again! Pickups for all tours, from Great Barrier Reef trips to Crocodile safaris, can be arranged right to your door at Clifton Sands.
